The Global Leadership Center (GLC) for Girls Office Manager supports the Global Leadership Center for Girls program and office, performs administrative and operational tasks to maintain an effective and well-organized office, and assists the Director of the Global Leadership Center for Girls. In addition, the GLC Office Manager assists and supports the Head of School, upper school principal, faculty, staff, and students in all matters regarding the GLC. 

St. Andrew’s Schools is looking for an individual who can embody and communicate the School’s mission and core values, provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all constituents, and manage confidential situations with discretion, respect, and sensitivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity to manage a broad range of responsibilities, acquire new skills, and work independently, strategically, and collaboratively with the Director of the Global Leadership Center for Girls, faculty, and staff to achieve the GLC’s goals most effectively.

St. Andrew’s Prep for Boys (The Prep) opened in the fall of 2014 and offers single-gender classes designed specifically for boys in grades K through 8. The Prep, located on Queen Emma Square, actively engages young boys in a learning environment that builds upon their strengths and interests. 

Named after our founder Queen Emma Kaleleonālani, the Queen Emma Preschool nurtures a love of learning through joyful discovery and play for children ages 2 through 5. The beautiful Nu‘uanu campus provides a foundational and natural learning environment designed to nourish a child’s innate sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. 


QUALIFICATIONS 

A Bachelor’s degree in education, tourism or related field and three years of related work experience is required. We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter who anticipates the needs of others, has good judgment, and naturally jumps in and helps. Successful candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience in event planning, office management, and customer service is required. Experience in coordinating group travel is preferred. Candidates must have excellent computer technology skills. Candidates will need to work both collaboratively and independently, pay attention to detail, and effectively manage projects and meet deadlines. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will generally include the following. Duties will be further defined and other duties and responsibilities assigned as needed. 

Provide positive, cooperative, and excellent constituent relations by: 

  • Communicating the school’s mission and core values by respecting, affirming and protecting the dignity and worth of each member of the community, and exhibiting moral and ethical behavior.

  • Responding appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner to general inquiries about the school and the GLC. 

  • Setting professional boundaries and collaborating with constituents within those boundaries. 

  • Coordinating and managing all logistics of GLC for Girls-related travel 

  • Assisting director with developing GLC for Girls program materials 

  • Keeping track of metrics associated with GLC for Girls sponsored events and curriculum

  • Keeping track of all paperwork associated with GLC for Girls-related travel

  • Filing and organizing all records associated with GLC for Girls

  • Managing appointments for director

  • Assisting director with record keeping and budget

  • Updating and maintaining GLC for Girls bulletin board

  • Managing the scheduling of the GLC for Girls space and ensuring that it is clean, tidy, and set up/broken down for each event

  • Fulfilling office management and reception functions for GLC for Girls office, including keeping the office tidy, purchasing and inventorying supplies, greeting guests, and conducting tours

  • Communicating with parents, students, faculty and staff on behalf of director in a timely, courteous, and professional manner

  • Coordinating, setting up, breaking down, and handling catering needs of GLC for Girls-related events

  • Assisting Fellows with GLC for Girls-related events

  • Supporting and promoting awareness of the GLC for Girls and its programs

  • Assisting trip leaders in recruiting for domestic and international trips

  • Assisting trip leaders with preparations for upcoming trips, including generating forms and other materials, organizing and putting together binders and electronic folders for travel, and collection of forms from students for review by trip leaders

  • Assisting upper school principal with GLC for Girls-related appointments, administrative work, and organizational tasks

  • Assisting director in coordinating GLC for Girls-related professional development 

  • Maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful presence as a representative of the GLC-for Girls office


This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position offering a generous benefits package including retirement plan, health benefits, paid vacation, and more. This position works through school closures (Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer) except when school administrative offices are closed or as directed by the Head of School. Must be available to work nights and weekends, as necessary.
