Early Childhood Lead Teacher for After School
We are seeking a teacher
who loves young children to lead our early childhood After School Care program.
The right candidate will have the necessary credentials to be a lead teacher in
an early childhood program. An interest in Waldorf education and curriculum is
The ideal candidate is
someone who is able to be attentive and nurturing with children and maintain a
clean, relaxed, friendly, and safe environment. Responsibilities for running
the After School Care program includes: purchasing food supplies and making
snacks, offering daily movement games and weekly craft activities, overseeing
the safety and sign-in and sign-out of the children and maintaining a clean,
friendly and nurturing environment for the children ages 2.5-6 years old. After School Care is an outdoor, play based
program, that incorporates teacher-directed activities. Ideally there will be at least two qualifying
teachers who will co-teach the program.
Hours are from 11:45am-3pm. Duties will
include helping children transition into lunch, nap, and then outdoor play. The
After School Care Program hours will be from 3pm-5:30pm.
Position to start mid August 2019.
