Assets School is seeking a full-time Kindergarten teacher, beginning in the 2019-2020 school year. Lead teachers are responsible for planning and delivering an integrated, thematic educational program. The Kindergarten class is typically one teacher with 8-10 students.
Candidates must be passionate about learning and able to differentiate curriculum for the diverse learning needs of students who are gifted and/or have learning differences. S/he should have expertise in the fields of early childhood development and education. The ability to successfully collaborate with other teachers and effectively communicate is essential. Experience with our student population is preferred, but an interest and high willingness to learn is also welcomed.
Assets School serves gifted and capable students, specializing in those with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. We provide a strength-based program, complemented by outreach and training, that empowers students to become effective learners and confident self-advocates.
