Join teachers and administrators from Hawai‘i’s public, private, charter and parochial schools as we focus on how to best transform our existing schools and create new learning environments for today and tomorrow.
 
This collaborative event is presented by the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, the Hawaii Department of Education and the Hawaii Community Foundation in partnership with the Pillars of Peace Fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation and the Hawaii Society for Technology in Education to highlight the best practices that are taking place in our learning environments today and being planned for those of tomorrow.

What Your School Could Be: Leadership, Innovation & Deeper Learning
Essential Question:
How can we, as culturally responsive leaders, create the conditions to foster innovative practices that lead to deeper learning for all?

Description:
This year’s LSOTF Post-Conference will provide the time, resources and expertise to support your leadership development, while providing strategies towards building a more equitable, responsive and innovative school.
 
Your team will:
  • Learn from innovation experts and reflect on the creative tension that exists between your current reality and your aspirations around what your school could be.
  • Explore new thinking around Cultural Responsive Leadership, as a way to strengthen Deeper Learning Practices in your school.
  • Build momentum from your Schools of the Future Conference learnings as you explore opportunities to leverage innovation in your school.
  • Engage more deeply with notable local and national SOTF experts.
  • Network and share best practices with like-minded school leaders.

Call for Proposals is Open!!!

Deadline: March 15, 2020

Be a part of the 12th annual Schools of the Future Conference! We are seeking proposals related to pedagogy and best teaching practices to help educators prepare student learners for the future. This year's conference will take place on Monday and Tuesday, October 26-27.  Stay tuned for Early Bird Registration, which will open in March.

To submit a proposal, please complete the 2020 SOTF Proposal Form. Please note that student participation in presentations in highly encouraged.

The deadline to submit a proposal is March 15, 2020 and notifications will be sent by April 30, 2020.
